Majorca

Yes, that´s where I am. We have a lovely villa and I´m on a hen week with 11 other girls. Last night I must have had too many drinks, as come 3am I began a game of pool. If you have played pool with me you may have already guessed that this went on until 4am. Woke up at half past midday to the sounds of other peoples hangovers.

decrepid

Something went horribly wrong with my back yesterday and I spent 2 hours awake in the middle of the night, quietly complaining to myself about the ease with which body things can go wrong. When I eventually went back to sleep, I had a dream that someone cricked my back for me, kind of like a very enthusiastic Heimlich manoeuvre, it clicked back into place. I woke up, and it was still sore. Damn. Reversing the (bonnet-damaged - thanks neighbour) car has been interesting today as I can only turn my head a max of 45 degrees.

Have you seen the length of my archives list? Wow.

p.s.

The stamp did go on, now I have to look for somewhere to live in Edinburgh.

walking

So, signed myself up for the Parish Walk again. The first time I did this, in 2001, I was determined to walk to Peel, and did. A neighbour was concerned later on that day that I had been in a car crash, but this is the inevitable result of walking 32.5 miles in under 9 hours, with no training. I tried to go walking to practice, but I was in Birmingham at the time, and frankly, Birmingham had a lot more to offer at the time. I don't think it is renowned for the quality of its walking. I spent considerably more time in the Country Girl & the Gunbarrels.
This time round, I am making an effort. Walking up a big hill tomorrow.

Tik Tok Too

I think I learned, or at least attempted to learn, the hardest line dance in the world ever tonight. My brain is mush, but I have achieved something today; namely acceptance of university place, and application for money to actually go and do it. Now for the hard part, putting a stamp on it and actually posting it.

Food

I have been completely spoiled...2 weeks in Cyprus having haloumi cheese and sausages for breakfast (amongst other delicious things) and a week in the States being cooked for and looked after as well....Tomorrow it is back to work and making my own lunch. I'm having Shreddies for breakfast now just in case I don't get up early enough for breakfast in the morning.
